For Mentors
Dear Mentor,
Wow! Words cannot express how much I appreciate the time you take out of your day to help me. You have guided me so much and I thank you for that. I still need your help though....thanks for everything and most of all your example.
Love, the girl who watches your every move.
"So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you'll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you're laready doing this; just keep on doing it.." 1 Thessalonians 5:10-11 The Message
Did you know that one in five girls don't know THREE adults to talk to when they are undergoing a trying time? That is a shocking number! Thanks to people like you that number will hopefully decrease. Organizations such as Young Life and Fellowship of Christian Athletes provide a great place for teens to be mentored, but there is also a great need in your own church community.
The main reason people are hesitant to want to volunteer with teens is the fear of not being able to relate. We hope to offer you some resources that will provide insight into teens as well as give you confidence in working with them. Thanks for what you are doing and keep it up!
